Join Pr. Carl as a volunteer at Global Health Ministries

In September and October members of First Lutheran gathered various items to package into Hospice Kits to be distributed to places around the world where they are most needed. Some of the kits no doubt went to places like Liberia and Sierra Leone where they were used for people suffering from Ebola, Malaria and other diseases. The Hospice Kits we assembled were transported by Adam St. Pierre to Global Health Ministries (GHM) in Fridley, where they either have been or will be shipped to places where they are most needed. Besides collecting Hospice Kits, GHM also receives Newborn Kits and various other donated medical supplies from hospitals and clinics. These donated items are sorted and prepared for shipment by volunteers at the GHM warehouse in Fridley by church volunteer groups.
I have registered a group of 10-12 volunteers to go to GHM on Tuesday, January 13, from 6-8 p.m. to volunteer. If you would like to volunteer and go along on January 13, see me or sign up on the bulletin board by the church office. We will leave from church at 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 13 and be back around 9:30 p.m. Volunteers of any age are welcome; those under age 15 should have a parent or another adult accompanying them. See me for further information. —Pr. Carl Bruihler
